With all the 2012 talk over the last month it has made me research into all the different ways the world could have possibly ended. One of the theories I read about was Aliens invading the planet and thus taking it over – killing us all.
Then I went off on a complete tangent and started to read about Aliens, alien abductions and all the other things that everyone writes and raves about when it comes to another life form coming to Earth.
One thing I found absolutely fascinating, albeit a tad scary was the amount of people raving madly that the ‘visitors’ would come and be peaceful. You know the whole X-Files tagline: We come in Peace! I am just saying this once and once only, it’s bollocks.
If an alien came to our plants from across the galaxy, maybe from another galaxy, then they are probably not coming here to make friends – it would be a take over. It’s as simple as that.
For one thing, there would be a terrible language barrier. I have read a lot from idiots thinking that they would speak our language, or every language? Or that we would simply just be able to understand them? So let me ask you this; Have you learn the language of your dog or cat just from years of being near it? Talking to it? Loving it? No. Of course not.
If a species makes it this far to Earth, from another somewhere, then it would be so far advanced that trying to communicate with us would be like us trying to communicate with our dogs or cats. Furthermore, why do we have this silly idea that intelligence always equates to peace?
Let’s just have a quick look at history.. In human history there is absolutely no precedent for the statement that intelligence equates peace.. In fact it’s usually the opposite. Just think about the recent history of the human people. In the past we have had slaves and have killed off thousands of native people to own their lands.
That was opportunity. Now, imagine that with even a slight intelligence gap..
In regards to the statement of ‘they come in peace’, it can be assumed not. One last example of intelligence not coming in peace: Take for example the hunter and the deer. For a species so advanced, it would be like the deer trying to communicate with the hunter before he raised his gun and shot the animal dead. There would be no negotiation – as there isn’t for the deer.
If another life form reached Earth and wanted us dead, we’d die. If they wanted us alive as a nature preserve – as we do to apes etc, they would. There would be nothing the human race could do.
Another species making it as far as Earth is proof that we’d be at their mercy.
Think about it.
